RMA – The Royal Marines Charity has been awarded a grant by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust to support our Employment & Education team. 

The grant, totalling £99,908, will be targeted towards vulnerable veterans who have lost their career because of the COVID-19 pandemic, including those who have or will transition out of service through medical or administrative discharge over the coming year. 

RMA – The Royal Marines Charity’s Employment & Education team assist compulsory discharged Royal Marine service leavers, veterans and spouses. 

We support them into meaningful and rewarding employment through bespoke careers advice and guidance, sourcing of employment opportunities and funding for training, qualifications, and equipment. 

In 2020, our Employment & Education supported:

Unemployment and career choice dissatisfaction are considerable contributors to poor mental health in veterans. The Charity can offer a range of services to Royal Marines who have to leave the Corps. These include: 

  • Careers advice 
  • CV writing support 
  • Interview skills 
  • Work placements 
  • Salary/Offer negotiation 
  • Mentoring 
  • CV submission 
  • Application support
