Royal Marines Commando 80
This year sees us commemorating a major event in the life of the Corps, the 80th anniversary of Royal Marines taking the Commando role.
Just as during the 350th Birthday of the Royal Marines and the 1664 Challenge in 2014, the Corps has decided to mark the occasion by running the “Royal Marines Commando 80 Challenge” which will also encompass the Falklands 40 celebrations and commemorations.
80 Challenges in 2022
We are asking the Corps family to take on a set of ’80’ based challenges to raise funds for RMA – The Royal Marines Charity. This challenge could be anything from setting yourself the goal to take 8000 steps a day to running 80 marathons throughout the year. The choice is yours!
Why we need your help
The pandemic has had a profound impact on RMA – The Royal Marines Charity just as demand for support in these difficult times has risen. The Charity continues to campaign, provide services and raise funds for the benefit of the Corps Family in their time of need which was demonstrated during the pandemic with the Heroes at Home and 75 for the 75th campaigns in 2020 and 2021.
