Primary Responsibilities
➢ Daily Management of projects team.
➢ Drive continuous improvement projects.
➢ Creation of capital and revenue project proposals and documentation.
➢ Operation and maintenance of CAD database.
➢ Heavy involvement in planned preventative and predicative maintenance techniques.
➢ Ensure project work is scheduled and executed in a safe and timely manner in line with
Norbord’s expectations.
➢ Provision of leadership, development, and coaching to your direct reports.
➢ Ability to Investigate, understand and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
➢ Duty Manager on a rota basis.

The Person

Ability to plan, organise & lead teams. And can actively demonstrate team leadership skills
to enhance the outcomes of the team.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain a consistently high level of performance.
Educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering area. Supervisory
experience dealing with the control and management of personnel in a maintenance engineering environment including contract labour desirable.

A ‘Hands-on’ person, with a positive ‘can-do’ approach to your work you will lead and
motivate your team whilst ensuring Engineering standards are achieved and maintained.
Ideal Management entry point for a willing team player with a strong work ethic. IT Skills
and Technical expertise to extract and manipulate data and identify trends.
Strong people and communication skills – written, verbal, presentation Evaluation,
procurement, qualification and release to manufacturing of new process equipment and
technologies.
Technical report writing, production of relevant documentation to support project transfer.
Solve Engineering problems in a disciplined, effective and timely manner. ➢
Contribute to defining project plans and achieving milestones on target; Strong IT skills to
include previous experience with project management software (e.g. MS Project) and a
familiarity with production of Gantt charts and project presentations.
Ability to write risk assessments and method statements and Proactive in sharing and
communicating “Best Practices” and Job Plans with others both within the Plant and with
other Plants within the Enterprise.
Must be responsive to changing priorities and schedules.

Basic salary £45,000 to £50,000
