Live out domestic couple required to support a busy traditional family of 5; x 2 Adults x 3 Children [8/10/13]. The family live in the heart of Somerset on a working farm. The main residence is a 5-bedroom house and annex accompanied by 3 bedroom guest cottage, attached offices, outbuildings and swimming and gym. The family are looking for a very proactive, hands on and dynamic couple to join them in Somerset. The family wish to employ a couple with outstanding ability who can demonstrate excellence and experience in a similar domestic couple environment, where the key focus is on building a trusted relationship and positive working environment for the children. Consideration will also be given to couple seeking a pathway into a domestic couple working environment, but must be able to demonstrate ability to work together wherever possible

Couple should have warm personalities, be utterly trustworthy, dependable and decreet. A focused team player approach is a must along with a confident and focused mindset to be able to turn their hand to most things when asked to do so.

Team size: Domestic Couple plus x 1 housekeeper

Key call outs:

Must have a proactive mindset and attitude, able to anticipate problems and preventing them from happening.

Must have strong planning ability and be able to get jobs done on time and in the correct way.

As a team, the couple will be confident and able to project manage a family’s day to day activities with focus on removing blockers and problems

Must be extremely well organised with immaculate timekeeping approach

Very keen eye for detail and maintain high standards around the house

Able to work autonomously without general guidance or direction

Able to manage basic administration without issue in support of busy daily routines for the family, main focus on children’s organisation during term times.

Very solid approach to teamwork and working together with family and other staff members. Proper planning essential in order to achieve goals set a must.

All domestic household chores as would be expected

Children’s clubs drop-off’s and pick up’s

Homework support as needed [must be fun]

Meal planning, prep and basic cooking when called upon to do so

School drop-off’s and collection

After school activities; both educational and also experiential [Playing out/Bushcraft/Adventure]

Pension: As per Government guidelines

Accommodation: 3 bed thatched cottage with garden and garage in village of Charlton Horethorne

[Extended family able to stay with prior consent]

Working hours: Expected 08.00 – 18.00 Monday – Friday [Some flex on working hours must be expected with occasional weekend commitments as required]

Holiday: 20 days plus bank holidays to be taken in term time but some flexibility here. A blended approach to when time ff can be taken would be best.

Happy to housesit family home and look after family dog when family away on holiday

Probation 3 Mth with 7 days notice. Thereafter there will be a 3 Mth notice period

Pets will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis

Use of family SUV in support of daily routines

Start: 12 November with expected two-week hand over prior so [Joining late October]

Salary: £70K Gross [joint] + All Bills supporting accommodation [other than internet]
