Role Summary

Test Shooter will perform comprehensive testing of our sniper rifles. This individual will be responsible for verifying the accuracy and overall performance of each weapon. Maintain the range(s) and employ range best practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct accurate and detailed test-firing of sniper rifles, following company protocols and safety standards.
  • Assess weapon functionality, recoil, accuracy, reliability, and firing performance
  • Document and analyse test results, providing technical feedback when required to engineers
  • Maintain test logs, reports, and data to assist with quality control and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Follow stringent safety and environmental protocols, maintaining firearms and test environments to the highest standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Professional Firearms Experience: Competent in the use of bolt action rifles and small arms (sniper trained advantage but not essential), skill-at-arms trained, or comparable law enforcement experience OR Civilian/PRS competition experience.
  • Ballistics and Firearms Knowledge: Demonstrable knowledge in ballistics, firearms mechanics, and test shooting best practices.
  • Quality Assurance Acumen: Familiarity with firearm QA processes and compliance with industry safety standards.
  • Safety-Conscious: In-depth knowledge of firearm safety practices, with a commitment to maintaining rigorous safety standards.
  • Personal FAC (Firearms Certificate) an advantage but not essential.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with precision shooting equipment (scopes, rangefinders).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with engineering and product development teams.
  • Skilled in using digital tools for data entry, analysis, and report creation.
  • Confident self- starter able to work safely to high standards unsupervised.
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to brief internally and external.

 

  • 36 Hours per week 06:30-16:00 Mon-Thur.
