Threat Scenario Analyst, Operational Resilience – CCO, Digital Business Services

The Chief Control Office (CCO) plays a meaningful role in enabling the bank to operate within its risk appetite, by ensuring efficient and effective risk and control management. This is achieved by providing operational risk and control expertise, conducting high quality reviews of the bank’s control environment, conducting end to end control assurance reviews on key controls, maintaining robust risk governance focused on material risk and issues, and evolving a culture of continuous and consistent risk management.

We are currently seeking an experienced Threat Scenario Analyst to join the Operational Resilience team, within the CCO function.

In this role you will:

  • Support the governance of the operational resilience threat management and scenario testing framework and processes ensuring the appropriate control over how scenarios are developed, selected and tested
  • Support the collation, analysis and actionable insights generated from testing across the group
  • Develop, maintain and continuously improve of the mechanism through which threats to the operational continuity of IBS are understood and drive the scenarios being tested
Requirements

The successful candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • A strong understanding and proven experience in two or more of the following: threat management, threat intelligence/ scenario analysis/ scenario testing
  • Strong critical and analytical thinking with the ability to break down complex issues
  • Understanding of operational resilience and how it is applied within financial services is highly desirable

The base location for this role will be London or Edinburgh; however, we are open to application from across the UK.
