Each year RMA – The Royal Marines Charity funds and co-runs a winter trip to Fort William for those individuals who are on a recovery pathway, and where applicable their families. The trip affords an excellent opportunity to reconnect with the Corps Family for those who are experiencing, or have experienced significant challenges since leaving the Corps.
This is very much a family led trip as we recognise the impact that difficult times can sometimes have on the whole family, not just the individual therefore the focus and programme for the week is very family friendly.
The trip takes place each year in early December is based out of Fort William in the heart of the Highlands and lasts 6 nights. All attendees are encouraged to take part in the many activities that are on offer over the week but nothing is compulsory. The trip, including travel is funded by the charity and includes most meals but drinks and food away from the hotel will be at personal expense.
