Job summary
The Commando Training Centre, also known as CTCRM, is the principal training centre for the Royal Marines.
Based at Lympstone in Devon CTCRM selects and trains all Royal Marines Officers, recruits and reserves. CTCRM is unique in that it also provides all Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) command training as well as training 70% of Royal Marines specialists.
On average, 1,300 recruits, 2,000 potential recruits and 400 potential officers attend training courses and acquaint courses at CTCRM every year. In addition, the Training Wings run upwards of 320 course starts a year for a further 2,000 students.
The role of Logistics Resource Manager is a key role within the logistics department of Royal Marines Commando Training in the UK.
We will support the successful candidate with career development; delivery skills, gain knowledge and expertise in a challenging yet encouraging environment of a tight-knit team of RN, Army, RAF and Civil Service personnel.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
Job description
Logistics Resource Manager, CTCRM is responsible for Ammunition management and the focal point for Training and Financial Management Information System (TAFMIS).
They will assist and advise the Headquarters during the Command Acquisition Support Plan (CASP) forecasting process and act as the establishment ammunition manager and authoriser in accordance with the Unit Ammunition Management System (UAMS) allocation and TAFMIS requirement. When required, they will liaise with Navy Command Headquarters ammunition cell to deconflict or remedy ammunition non-availability.
The role has line management responsibility for Civil Servants working in the Ammunition Compound, Armoury and Armoury Workshop.

This role requires knowledge of working in a busy logistics environment where decisions and tasks need to be handled at pace.
An ability to network & gain a quick rapport with colleagues and building effective working relationships with a wide variety of partners is a must.
Capability to see the bigger picture and forecast optimally is essential. Liaising closely with Establishment Headquarters, a natural passion and work towards continuous improvement is essential in delivering positive outcomes in a sophisticated set of systems and processes.
