RMA – The Royal Marines Charity is delighted to announce the three main corporate sponsors of its 2023 Guildhall Dinner in London on 8th November, with Patron Capital again being the Headline sponsor; Edgar Brothers signing up as Event partner, and Olympian Homes sponsoring the evening’s Champagne.
The annual Guildhall Dinner is the Charity’s flagship fundraiser that last year raised in excess of £1m.
Widely regarded as one of the most anticipated charity events on the corporate calendar, the Guildhall Dinner regularly attracts some 500 guests amongst whom are dignitaries, influential corporate and individual supporters, and serving and veteran Royal Marines. The many highlights of the evening include performances by His Majesty’s Royal Marines Band, and the prestigious Charity Auction.

RMA – The Royal Marines Charity Director of Fundraising & Communications, Caroline Casey, says: “As uncertain economic times persist, we are hugely grateful to attract the philanthropy of these three major corporate sponsors who have so generously agreed to champion our flagship event.
We are extremely fortunate to have the support of such distinguished sponsors, all of whom share a passion and commitment to drive positive impact in helping the Charity provide the lifelong support to the Royal Marines Family.

Headline sponsors, Patron and Keith and Lauren Breslauer have been active supporters of RMA – The Royal Marines Charity and its various activities for over ten years. After serving nine years as a trustee, Keith is now a Vice Patron of the Charity. The Breslauers and Patron have been responsible for over £4M of support for the charity and have directly helped many hundreds of families and veterans through the years. In addition, the couple directly sponsor and support individuals and events for the veteran community.
RMA – The Royal Marines Charity is also very much looking forward to what it hopes marks the start of a similarly enduring relationship with new Event partner sponsor, Edgar Brothers.
The company is already a key Commando Force partner. It employs several ex-Royal Marines alongside ex-Army personnel and is the supplier of a new assault rifle and various other capabilities now used by the Corps as a whole.
In explaining Edgar Brothers’ support for the Charity’s Guildhall Dinner, Director Mike Newman says: “The Royal Marines have played an integral role in safeguarding our country and defending our freedoms for centuries. Their dedication and selflessness deserve the utmost respect and admiration.
This is our way to demonstrate our deep gratitude and appreciation for their service. We see our support not only as a moral obligation – but also as aligning with our core company values and principles.
Those who serve in the Royal Marines embody the highest levels of professionalism, discipline, and perseverance with values that are crucial for success both in the military and in the corporate world. As our customers also, they exhibit the leadership and determination that inspire us as a company.
We wanted to help make a genuine difference in their lives and contribute also to the well-being and the welfare of those affected by their service.”
This is a sentiment echoed by Olympian Chairman, Mark Slatter, who comments: “Olympian Homes is proud to sponsor the Champagne reception for the RMC Guildhall Dinner and grateful for the continued amazing work the Charity does for all our ex- and serving Royal Marines.”
Since being founded in 2008, RMA – The Royal Marines Charity has distributed £23m in grants to beneficiaries, and last year alone supported 22,000 individuals, 2,794 of whom were in acute need.
