One man and his pram attempt to set a new world record

Local RAC patrol, Lee Wingate, from Portsmouth is gearing up for an arduous run in an attempt to set a new world record. He is aiming to be the first to run unsupported from John O’Groats to Land’s End (also known as the JOGLE).

Lee will be taking the road with a home-made, custom-built ‘pram’ (affectionately named ‘Frankie’) on 1st September, to run the 860 miles unaided.

RMA – The Royal Marines Charity is delighted that former Royal Marines Officer Jon White, the most seriously injured Commando to have survived the infamous Operation HERRICK 12 tour in Afghanistan in 2010 has agreed to represent the Charity as one of the new Ambassadors it will be announcing over the coming weeks and months.

Opening of The CHAMP Building

At the official opening of its new headquarters at Commando Training Centre Royal Marines (CTCRM) in Lympstone (13th July 2023), RMA – The Royal Marines Charity’s Chair of Trustees, Lynn Fordham, thanked most sincerely the generosity of its external sponsors who funded the majority of the £1.4M rebuild project, named The CHAMP Building.
