Local lone world-record runner sheds demons in ‘dark sky’ town

With a lack of sleep, and pulling a pram laden with all his supplies, RAC patrol Lee Wingate from Portsmouth shed some particular personal demons when running through Moffat, a designated ‘dark sky’ town. Now back in England, he is fast clocking up the miles in his quest to become the first to run unsupported from John O’Groats to Land’s End (JOGLE).

Ambassador, Jon White, wins gold medal

Huge congratulations to RM veteran, triple amputee, champion kayaker and our Charity Ambassador, Jon White, who secured a gold medal at the 2023 ICF Canoe Marathon World Championships in the Para KL2 Men’s class.

482 miles, 3 peaks, 1 Exmouth Marine

Ben Clough – a super-fit Royal Marines Physical Training Instructor at Commando Training Centre Royal Marines in Exmouth – spent the first part of his summer break tackling an ultimate endurance challenge: running 482 miles from Scotland to Wales, climbing the three highest peaks in the UK.
