This event will provide information and advice to Service leavers considering a career within the Legal Services industry.
What to expect:
Join Osborne Clarke (OC) for lunch from 13.00, where you will meet Service veterans and reservists who work at OC, gain an overview of the roles available at OC, and learn how the skills of Service leavers can be transferred to these roles.
Following workshops delivered by the L&D and recruitment team to help Service leavers understand their transferable skills in the corporate context, the day will end with a networking event, where OC will invite their clients from Armed Forces-friendly organisations across the South West to provide an opportunity for Service leavers to grow their own networks.
It is part of OC commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant to support the career transition of Service Leavers, so the purpose of this event will be to:
– Provide insight from others who have transitioned from the Armed Forces to a career at OC (including insights from Reservists)
– Provide advice on how military skills match those needed within the broad range of job roles available at OC, and provide more context on the roles across the firm·
– Provide advice on how to adapt a CV to stand out in the corporate sector, as well as top interview tips to highlight transferable skills
– Deliver a session on Personal Brand to support candidates during interviews
