RMA -The Royal Marines Charity have been awarded a grant under the latest round of funding from the OVA Career Development Programme (CDP) Programme through The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust to support Early Service Leavers once they transition. The funding awarded is £48,000 over 2 years.

Zoe Darnbrough, Head of the Employment and Education Team will have oversight for the 2-year project. She commented, “We are delighted to receive this funding from The OVA and Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust. The project seeks to help Early Service Leavers transition. Many are medically discharged, often vulnerable, from challenging and disadvantaged backgrounds. This bespoke support will ensure the best possible outcomes from transition, whilst also separately identifying training and qualifications required to secure meaningful and successful future career prospects.”
Tom Wilson, Director of Development, also said, “ The OVA and Armed Forces Covenant Trust Fund have recognised the unique support that RMA-The Royal Marines Charity provide. Our project seeks to bolster the transitioning process for vulnerable ESLs (Early Service Leavers) who have either been medically or administratively discharged during the course of their training. We are sincerely grateful for this grant funding from OVA and AFCFT, as it will help to support as many as 600 beneficiaries over 2-years.”
