Steve has been struggling with a number of personal issues after leaving the Royal Marines and this has been affecting his whole family. Recently, with no money left to cover their immediate general needs having paid priority bills, he approached RMA – The Royal Marines Charity for some help and was awarded £1,000 grant. This is what he had to say:

“I wanted to say how incredibly grateful I am to the team at the RMA for the support you have given me. You have opened every door that has been at your disposal to help me when I didn’t know what else to do and when I was unclear of where to turn.

I’m not even sure of what the future will bring but the fact is you were there and you helped me when it seemed hopeless and I will never forget that.

The grant that you so graciously and generously offered me will be a huge help and relief to me and my family. Not for materialistic purposes but for bringing us back together, for reciprocating the love and support that they gave to me.

I am humbled beyond reproach and thankful beyond words. You may not realise the impact you have made but I can tell you, it’s monumental .

Thanks again from the depths of my heart.”
