Description

Back again by popular demand!

Following the outstanding success of our recent treks, we have arranged a new opportunity for members of the West Country 100/RMA to support injured Royal Marines in need, directly.

Join other members of the West Country 100 on this year’s trek to Albania. The team will fly into Tirana the capital and trek mountains in the region, including Mt Korab, the highest peak in Albania. They will see historic and cultural sites and visit the Commonwealth War Grave cemetery in Tirana, where a number of Royal Marines are buried, to pay their respects. This operation was a particularly demanding part of Royal Marines history during WW2.

The trekkers will be joined by a number of serving and former Royal Marines who are being supported by the Royal Marines Charity as part of their rehabilitation and recovery. This gives West Country 100 members a unique insight into the good work the Charity does, and it allows some of those who we help to understand why we do it. Once again, you will get a chance to have a hands-on role as part of the ‘solution’.

To book a place: please contact Tom Parsley on mobile 07734 789980 or via email tom.parsley@hays-travel.co.uk. Please also copy Stephen Manning, the trek leader on: sim79731@gmail.com.

For the trip to go ahead, Tom Parsley needs confirmation of your booking by 8th March 2024, with a deposit of £250.
