A team from HMS Collingwood has gone above and beyond in their efforts to support RMA – The Royal Marines Charity. By participating in the recent Collingwood Half Marathon, the team exceeded their initial fundraising target and raised an impressive £956.88 (including Gift Aid).
The team gave it their all during the marathon, running further than they ever had before. Despite some post-run aches, the team was delighted with the times they achieved and thrilled with the amount they raised along the way.
“The rain held off for us – the wind was interesting to contend with, but it kept us cool,” said the team in their post-run feedback.
RMA – The Royal Marines Charity supports serving and retired Royal Marines and their families. Thanks to the efforts like HMS Collingwood’s team, the charity will be able to continue its vital work supporting those who have made immense sacrifices in service to their country.
