Globe & Laurel: Special Operations in the Mountains

In September, X Coy deployed to Slovenia for Ex Triglav Star 24, along with ten select units from NATO nations. For the exercise, UKCF were the designated Advanced Force for the other NATO nations – recognition of our long-standing history of mountain warfare.

After speaking to the US Coast Guard and being informed that the Target of Interest (TOI) was a semi-submersible submarine, combined with the fact that this would be the first one ever in the central Caribbean, there was a different sort of vibe floating around ship and everyone was excited as they believed this could be a really big bust!

G’Day Mate! 15,000km away ‘Down Under’, D Sqn’s CSS Tp (Vidar) have been making unforgettable memories during our deployment. Embarking RFA Lyme Bay in Brunei, Vidar Tp have bronzed and flexed (with budgie smugglers!) on the flight deck, crossed the equator en-route to Darwin and then deployed to sustain Littoral Response Group (South) on Ex Predators Run.

50 Miles for 50 Days

As a celebration of my 50th birthday I thought I’d set myself a challenge. After careful consideration I committed to a mission. I intended to cycle 50 miles every day for 50 days around the Devon roads finishing on my 50th birthday.
